Little Boys!!!

I know that I am still a newbie when it comes to boys and I am often surprised by the things that Ty does. I believe that I was totally spoiled with my girls. They never got in to anything they were happy and content to sit on the floor and play with their toys as long as I was in the same room. They never got out of the house and wondered off or even drew on the walls if they happened upon a pen, marker etc.

Well this weekend my sister came down from Santaquin to visit. She is a pro at the boy thing having three of her own plus she takes care of my nephew. She on the other hand is a newbie with girls, but after three boys Ashlyn is a piece of cake. Ashlyn and Ty are real close in age and the play really good together.
Yesterday we decided to go to the store and as we were trying to get all the older boys to get their shoes on and get in the car Ty and Ashlyn went missing. Janara heard a faint "mom help". She found them across the street in the neighbors backyard stuck in the mud! Janara not wanting to get herself all muddy talked Ty out of being stuck, which meant he took his foot out of his boot and walked through the mud barefoot. When Janara came walking up the sidewalk with Ty and Ashlyn I noticed Ty was walking a little funny. The closer I got the more I realized why. He was covered from toe to waste in mud and not just a little mud. Ashlyn has some on her pant and shoes, but came out mostly clean.

In all my years of watching my nephews grow up I never saw them like this. An occasional muddy shoe but that was it. I really think that Ty has taken the cake on this one or maybe I should say the pie...mud pie

Happy Birthday Megan!!!

This past Saturday was Megan's 7th birthday.
I honestly can't believe that I have a 7 years old. Where has the time gone? Wayne was able to come home this past weekend, but had a terrible nasty cold. Due to Wayne being sick I had Megan open her present from us that morning so Wayne could watch. Then Wayne was quarantined to the basement until after the party. We celebrated her birthday by having a HSM birthday party. She invited 7 of her closest friends and when you put 7 little girls together for and hour things get pretty crazy. They had pizza for lunch and then we broke out the cake and ice cream. I bought some trick candles and it was pretty fun to watch Megan blow out her candles again and again. When the girls were done eating they played a game (which turned out better then I thought it would). After the game Megan got to open her gifts. She got a lot of stuff that I normally wouldn't buy for her so I think she liked those ones the most

We still need to go and get her birthday outfit and get her pictures taken. Which I will add to the post. This is one of our brithday traditions that both of the girls love.

I am so proud of Megan. She is becoming a wonderful young lady. She is the second mom of the house. She helps with Ty and plays with her sister. She loves going to church and school and on occasion dance. Megan loves having her friends over and in recent months has become quite the little fashion diva. She also has a gained a great interest in drawing. Time seems to be flying by and my little girl isn't so little anymore. We want Megan to know that we love her and wish her a Happy Birthday!
