Christmas Letters from Santa

I found these really cute personalized Christmas Letters from Santa today while looking on PYP. I think they are cute and would be so fun for the kids. Here is a link to the site . 6 Things I believe:

I believe that God blesses you when you put in your part of the work
I believe that miracles happen
I believe in putting on comfy pj's and sipping hot cocoa while watching the first snow fall
I believe good friends make all the difference.
I believe (and know) if you take the time and put in the effort you can spend less to get more
I believe you should be able to eat ice cream and those calories shouldn't count.

6 Things I don't Believe:

I don't believe in getting something for nothing
I don't believe in Ghost stories (although I love to hear about them)
I don't believe that anything is impossible
I don't believe that is has taken me 10min to think of 6 things I don't believe
I don't believe in getting up before 7 am unless I have to.
I don't believe parents should live through their children.

I am not sure if my house will ever be as clean as all my friends houses.
I am not sure if I will finish all the projects I have started
I am not sure if I will be able to let any of my kids leave the house when they are ready
I am not sure if my carpet will survive one more year of Ty
I am not sure if I will ever go back to school
I am not sure if we will ever finish the basement or the backyard

Correction

As I was looking at my receipt this morning I realized that the milk I was suppose to get for free wasn't deducted. So I really only paid $87.37 for the first one. But then if you minus out the rebate on the popcorn, which is you buy three for $5 bucks you get $5 bucks back with a mail in rebate then I really only paid $82.37 on the first one. All in all I ended up paying $.77 per item. Not to shabby if I do say so myself.

Sarah, It's all your fault!

A little over a month ago my best friend Sarah talked me into trying the whole coupon shopping thing. I asked her if it was really worth it and after telling me that within the short time she had been using them she was able to get 7 months of food storage. Food storage had really been on my mind a lot at that time, so she told me about some of the basic techniques and I was on my way.

Now I am going to ask you a question that Sarah asked on her blog not to long ago.
How much would you pay for:
6 bags of Green Giant veggie steamers
7 bags of Birds Eye veggie steamers
2 gallons of milk
1 bag of Wholesome Goodness cat food
10 cans of Wholesome Goodness cat food

Well on the first one without the sale or coupon I would have paid $240.32. I ended up only paying $89.97 that is a $150.35 savings.
on the second on I would have paid $60.45. I ended up paying $27.69 that is a $32.76 savings.
And on the last one I would have paid $67.63. I ended up paying $29.79 that is a $37.84 savings.

If it were not for Sarah's persistence I would be paying the before price. I am so thankful that she has taught me the tricks of the trade. I has made such a difference in our home. In 2 months I have nearly 4 months of food storage (if not more). Something that I have not been able to do in the 9 years Wayne and I have been married (not that I didn't try). I have been able to cut our food budget almost in half.

So, Sarah this is all your fault!
And I thank you every time I go shopping.
